- Class Description
The purpose of this class is serve as an advocate for the College, the ECAP programs and its students.
Compensation within the posted range is determined by a candidate's education level and/or years of experience in the field. Generally, employees are hired in the lower third of the scale.
- Minimum Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Education, Marketing, Communications, Public Administration or related field. Master’s Degree preferred. Experience in Admissions or Student Services working with diverse student populations is preferred. Prior experience working with high school students is preferred. Must have a valid driver’s license in good standing with violation points less than five (5).

- Remain knowledgeable about the College, its structure, culture, policies, practices and the ECAP programs.
- Serve as point of contact for internal and external organizations and students in the ECAP programs.
- Serve as an advocate for the College, the ECAP programs and its students.
- Represent the college at networking events, affinity groups, and business and industry associations.
- Serve as liaison between College departments, faculty and/or staff, as required.
- Position Specific Essential Duties
- Provide outstanding service to students and other internal and external customers.
- Work closely with external partners to see that qualified students are enrolled to meet specific goals.
- Assist the Director with developing, implementing, and evaluating a comprehensive recruitment and enrollment plan for current high school students, which satisfies the College’s short and long term enrollment goals.
- Develop and maintain strong working relationships with local school systems and other external agencies.
- Present to and meet with potential students and parents to discuss opportunities available within ECAP.
- Coordinate with appropriate partners to maintain data on the overall progress of students participating in Early College programs.
- Coordinate with appropriate partners to conduct information and orientation programs for prospective and current students; class registrations; field trips and site visits.
- Maintain accurate records on recruitment, retention, and success efforts and assist the Director with the compilation of data related to the effectiveness of efforts and initiatives.
- Collaborate with the Director of ECAP and Office of Instruction on the creation and implementation of a comprehensive induction/orientation for college instructors who will teach the Early College courses on and off site.
- Communicate regularly with students to promote the transition from ECAP to core following high school graduation.
- Work independently within a team on special and ongoing projects.
- Assist the Director with program development and strategic planning, and monitor priorities and progress towards the Department’s goals.
